Becoming (Working Title)

While soul searching,
I tripped into your world
Fell in love with the way your lips
released your voice
I fell for the hope in you
the light lacing stars on the tip of your tongue
the way you walked rhythm into blues
the way you cried sunset on every horizon
the way you cuddled my breath like future
the way you wrote silence so loudly
down my spine,
and  reminded me of beautiful
the way you said my name
like the falsetto of a love poem
You took me to forever and back again
so I could feel us on repeat
Your fingertips took me to heaven
and let the neighbors hear the God in me
My heartbeat murmured your name
So sweetly, you showed me motion
rocking...
rolling...
And I no longer felt like myself...

I felt like us ...
